Field Service Manager (Tokyo)

Responsibilities:

  • Hands on manager to manage Field Service staff and external vendors/customers.
  • Assist in provide professional, courteous, enthusiastic, prompt and skilled technical service to Sciton customers.
  • Use your extensive technical troubleshooting and customer support background to provide front line support to Sciton staff and customers encountering technical problems.
  • Hands on in responding to service requests and ensure on-site repair within 48 hours.

Embedded Software Developer

Sciton, Inc. Palo Alto, CA:  Founded in 1997 by the laser industry’s preeminent engineers and physicists, James Hobart, Ph.D., and Daniel Negus.

Sciton is looking for a creative Embedded Software Developer. In this role the Software Developer will work closely with the technical engineering team, and report to Director of Engineering. Individual will develop software for medical laser systems.

Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Solid programming skills in C/C++ and a strong track record.
  • Embedded development with microcontrollers such as ARM and 8051
  • Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
  • Experience structuring and maintaining large code bases
  • 2+ years of Linux development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with Qt/QML.
  • UI/UX design is a very strong plus.
  • Ability to write device drivers for busses such as SPI and I2C
  • Experience with one or more Version Control Systems
  • The ability to write elegant, readable and maintainable code

Soft Skills:

  • Hands on, can do attitude.
  • Strong communication and written skills

In this role you need to:

Years of Experience:

We are seeking a technical and enthusiastic Power RF Electrical Engineer who can work closely with the CEO and Sr. Director on challenging RF projects. Sciton provides an intellectually-driven environment with excellent opportunities for technical and career growth.

The RF Electrical Engineer will be responsible for performing design, development and testing of RF power supplies (400 kHz to 10MHz; 100W and above) and high-power/high voltage flash lamp switching supplies.

Other Responsibilities will include:

  • System level understanding and implementation of designs.
  • Designing analog and digital circuits.
  • Devise test plans and documentation.
  • Work with vendors. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering or closely related field.

Mathematica Software Engineer

Location: Northern California (Palo Alto)

Job Description:

Clinical Specialist- Boston through Pennsylvania

Teach and train clients (plastic surgeons, dermatologist, medical doctors, clinicians) on the use of aesthetic and surgical lasers.

Location: Registered Nurse can be based between Boston and Pennsylvania – Northern Upper East states. Important that the candidate is located near a major airport due to heavy traveling. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for initial post-sales training and subsequent training as necessary.
  • Resolve post-sale customer issues and clinical questions.
  • Create, revise and maintain clinical training manuals.
  • Design and implement customer and distributor training programs in the field; assist in evaluating the need for continuing education programs.
  • Provide physician training that includes didactic and hands-on lab with live patients.
  • Serve as a clinical education resource to customers.
  • Interface with Sales, Field Service and other corporate staff as needed.
  • Attend accredited educational programs and keep current in relevant clinical areas.
  • Assist in evaluation and development of clinical training programs
  • Conduct site visits and gather clinical data as requested.
  • Work with local and international distributors in fulfilling their training and/or clinical evaluation needs.
  • May be required to represent Sciton at regional trade shows, seminars and other events where Sciton products are presented.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.

Assembler – Temp Assignment

Sciton, Inc. (Medical Device- Aesthetic Lasers) is looking for an Assembler. In this position you are responsible for producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies. Position will be based in Palo Alto, CA. and report to Manufacturing Manager.

This is a non-exempt long-term temp assignment with possibility of extension based on company needs and individual performance.

Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

  • Responsible for performing a wide variety of optical, electrical, mechanical, electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations.
  • Follow work instructions and manufacturing process instructions in performing standard tasks such as component installation, optical alignment, electrical wiring, hand soldering and cable harnessing on sub-assemblies.
  • Install and glue optical assemblies, such as mirrors and lenses, in laser body, using precision instruments.
  • Perform assembly, adjustments and final testing to meet engineering specifications.
  • An attention to detail and an interest in working on state of the art laser systems are essential in this position.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination are required.

Experience and Education

Must have previous Assembly experience

Work experience with medical products a plus. An AA diploma or equivalent experience desired.
