R&D Development Technician

The Role

In this role the technician will work closely with the technical engineering team and report to a Sr. Director, Product Development. Individual will assist in developing electronic and mechanical hardware for aesthetic laser systems. Position is located in Palo Alto, California.

Responsibilities:

  • Prototyping analog and digital circuit designs
  • Troubleshoot and testing of PCB assemblies
  • Prototyping cables and harnesses
  • Assembling prototype systems
  • Documenting work
  • Maintaining lab equipment and supplies

Skills required:

  • Ability to read and review schematics.
  • Scope experience
  • Soldering skills (lead free SMT)
  • Cable crimping experience
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools

Territory Manager (Chicago, IL)

Sciton, Inc. (Aesthetic Medical Lasers) is looking for a Territory Manager for Chicago. IL.

Position reports to the Sr. Area Sales Manager (SASM).

Responsible for prospecting, interfacing and closing sales transactions with customers.  Individual will be responsible for planning and implementing strategies for elevating sales. Perform marketing research and manage territory.  Handle post-sale customer issues.  Work with Field Service and corporate staff.  Responsible for in-service training and subsequent training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop customer loyalty.  Candidate must possess excellent prospecting and territory management ability along with strong selling skills.  Must be able to develop business strategies with customers to ensure their success.  Familiarity selling to physicians in private, group and hospital settings a plus. Minimum requirement is understanding the medical laser sales cycle. Familiarity with the aesthetics industry is also a plus.

Work Experience and Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or science.  Prefer a candidate with three plus years of direct medical laser, B to B sales experience plus capital equipment sales experience.

Administrative Assistant

Provide administrative services by implementing administrative processes, procedures, and administrative tasks. Will support the CEO, President and COO on a full time basis plus support a small group of engineers as needed.

Duties:

* Creates and revises filing systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping, forms control and taking notes for meetings and executive presentations.

* Resolves administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.

* Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

* Provides information by answering questions and requests.

* Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

* Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects, organizing the Quarterly Employee Meetings and the Quarterly Business Leadership Meeting.

* Set and confirm appointments plus maintain CEO and COO’s calendar.

* Make travel arrangements as requested (minimal).

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

* A plus if applicant has worked with engineers and in the medical device industry (lasers and aesthetic) .

Skills/Qualifications:

Experience/ Skills: 4 to 6 years in related field (Administrative Writing Skills, Microsoft Office Skills, Managing Processes, Organization, Analyzing Information, Professionalism, Problem Solving, Supply Management, Inventory Control, Strong Verbal Communication).

Technical Project Administrator

R&D Electrical Engineer

  3. PCB design using Altium Designer
  4. Embedded controller development (ARM, 8051)

  8. Prototype build/ SMD rework

Qualifications:

  • Years of direct experience (2 to 5 years)
  • BSEE degree required
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering team

Assembly Technician – Temp Assignment

Sciton, Inc. (Medical Device- Aesthetic Lasers) is looking for an Assembler. In this position you are responsible for producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies. Position will be based in Palo Alto, CA. and report to Manufacturing Manager.

This is a non-exempt long-term temp assignment with possibility of extension based on company needs and individual performance.

Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

  • Responsible for performing a wide variety of optical, electrical, mechanical, electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations.
  • Follow work instructions and manufacturing process instructions in performing standard tasks such as component installation, optical alignment, electrical wiring, hand soldering and cable harnessing on sub-assemblies.
  • Install and glue optical assemblies, such as mirrors and lenses, in laser body, using precision instruments.
  • Perform assembly, adjustments and final testing to meet engineering specifications.
  • An attention to detail and an interest in working on state of the art laser systems are essential in this position.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination are required.

Experience and Education

Must have previous Assembly experience

Work experience with medical products a plus. An AA diploma or equivalent experience desired.

RMA Coordinator

Description:

Sciton, Inc. (Medical Device- Aesthetic Lasers) is looking for a RMA Coordinator for a key role with our Service Department. You’ll provide logistical support related to material returns from domestic and international customers.

The position will be based in Palo Alto and report to the Associate Director of Global Services and works closely with the Manufacturing team as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities: (Other Duties may be assigned)
RMA Coordination:
● Communicate with domestic and international customers to request return of Sciton service parts in accordance with standard procedures
● Monitor progress of incoming returned material (Domestic and International)
● Record data and generate returned material trends for management review
● Feed necessary information to Accounting for invoice generation
● Interface with Customs for parts returning internationally
● Assist with shipment and receipt of service parts (Domestic and International)
Internal Document Control:
● Assist with scanning and maintaining electronic device history records (eDHRs) and other corporate documentation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
● Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field preferred
● Two to five years’ experience
● Computer skills in Microsoft Office required (Word and Excel)
● Enterprise solution software familiarity is a plus
● Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
● Self-motivated, results-oriented, highly-organized, creative, enthusiastic, and capable of
staying under control with pressure from multiple ongoing projects
