Software Developer

Sciton is looking for a creative Embedded Software Developer. In this role the Software Developer will work closely with the technical engineering team, and report to Director of Engineering. Individual will develop software for medical laser systems. Position is located in Palo Alto, California.

Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Palo Alto, California

Job Description:

Sciton, Inc. is looking for an exceptional Mechanical Design Engineer with knowledge of Mathematica graphical module, CAD and graphics editor software packages and an interest in the medical device technology. The candidate will use their Mathematica and other design software packages knowledge and experience to work with 3D graphics, develop 3D animations, perform image processing, and develop user interfaces.

Area Sales Manager- Wound Healing (Dallas)

Sciton, Inc. (Aesthetic Medical Device Lasers) is looking for an Area Sales Manager for the Dallas territory.

Position reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

Responsible for prospecting, interfacing and closing sales transactions with customers.  Individual will be responsible for planning and implementing strategies for elevating sales. Perform marketing research and manage territory.  Handle post-sale customer issues.  Work with Field Service and corporate staff.  Responsible for in-service training and subsequent training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop customer loyalty.  Candidate must possess excellent prospecting and territory management ability along with strong selling skills.  Must be able to develop business strategies with customers to ensure their success.  Familiarity selling to physicians in private, group and hospital settings a plus. Minimum requirement is understanding the medical laser sales cycle and a good understanding with wound healing. Familiarity with the aesthetics and wound healing industry is a plus. Call points will focus on wound healing physicians and clinics. Does not include calling on Aesthetic practices…Plastic, Dermatology, and Medical Spa’s.

Accounting Specialist

We are currently looking for an Accounting Specialist who will be successful in providing support to our AP and AR function, working to optimize the productivity and efficiency of the department. The position will be based in Palo Alto, CA. and will report to the Director of Finance.

Description

Provide assistance and transactional support for our AP and AR functions.  Assisting with payments and expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling vendor invoices.  Support the collection of payments and coordination of parties involved in the payment cycle.

Responsibilities:

AP duties include assisting our AP Specialist with the following duties: 

  • Match and enter invoices received with the
    • PO provided by Purchasing
    • Packing slips and receiving documentation
    • The vender’s invoice
  • Assist to resolve any conflicts noted above
  • Enter all non PO invoices after confirming authorization by appropriate manager
  • Prepare the weekly check, ACH and wire request and review with the Director of Finance for items and total payments
  • Print, route for signature and control the disbursement of checks, including bank interaction for Positive Pay
  • Assist with the Accounting department in the annual financial audit
  • Assist with internal audit function related to the quarterly physical inventory count
  • Assist the Accounting department in other AP related duties
  • Provide administrative and filing support for the Accounting Department

AR duties include assisting our AR Manager with the following duties:

  • Track and resolve outstanding receivable payments
  • Interact with customers and financing companies to ensure timely AR payments
  • Work with Order Entry and Sales function to resolve any outstanding issues
  • Process credit card deposit payments
  • Generate Pro-Forma invoices for customers and financing companies

Description:

The social media intern is responsible for coordinating and executing the company’s social media strategy, working across key social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. This is a 6 – month, paid internship @ 12 hours per week.

Reports to:

Associate Marketing Manager, Public Relations & Tradeshows

Key Duties:

  1. Increase the number of followers / likes on our social media platforms by following and engaging with customers, patients, and prospects.
  2. Posting updates on the company’s LinkedIn, Facebook, and multiple Instagram accounts 2-3 times a week.
  3. Liaising with staff internally to ensure their company profiles are accurate and up to date.

Validation Engineer

Position Description This Validation Engineer takes ownership of the software quality assurance efforts related to new product development and product modifications for the Research and Development group.  The position is responsible for ensuring that new products have been effectively and efficiently verified and validated prior to their release for shipment and that these designs meet documented and implied user needs and requirements. Software quality assurance efforts are lifecycle oriented beginning during product requirements development and continuing throughout its lifetime. This position will also be part of implementing software development tools to improve the overall quality of software, including peer reviews, software risk analysis, requirements traceability, defect tracking, configuration management and software tool validations. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops test plans and protocols for proof of performance for medical devices.
  • Executes test plans and write reports to meet design control standards.
  • Extends plans and protocols as device features evolve.
  • Works closely with the software team to identify and correct defects that are found.
  • Performs risk analysis on software requirements and requested changes with the software team before the Implementation phase.
  • Communicates significant issues identified during validation activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.

Education and Experience

  • BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar field.
  • 4-5 years of related experience in validating software in an FDA regulated industry required.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze software programming languages, preferably in C.
  • Must understand FDA software validation and life cycle requirements.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven record developing and executing software test protocols for complex medical devices.
  • Experience in Software Risk Analysis with medical devices is strongly preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills and able to interface with cross functional teams.
  • Strong technical writing skills; able to explain technical terminology in layman’s terms to Product Development groups, peers and senior management.
  • Possess critical thinking skills and able to be assertive, and challenge the process in a diplomatic manner.

Job Description

Sciton, medical device aesthetic company located in Palo Alto, California is seeking a technical and   enthusiastic Power RF Electrical Engineer who can work closely with the CEO and Sr. Director on challenging RF projects.  Sciton provides an intellectually environment with excellent opportunities for technical and career growth.

RF Electrical Engineer will be responsible for performing design, development and testing of RF power supplies (400 kHz to 10MHz; 100W and above) and high-power/high voltage flashlamp switching supplies.

The Role In this role the technician will work closely with the technical engineering team and report to a Sr. Director, Product Development. Individual will assist in developing electronic and mechanical hardware for aesthetic laser systems. Position is located in Palo Alto, California. Responsibilities:

Assembler – Temp Assignment

Sciton, Inc. (Medical Device- Aesthetic Lasers) is looking for an Assembler. In this position you are responsible for producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies. Position will be based in Palo Alto, CA. and report to Manufacturing Manager.

This is a non-exempt long-term temp assignment with possibility of extension based on company needs and individual performance.

Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

  • Responsible for performing a wide variety of optical, electrical, mechanical, electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations.
  • Follow work instructions and manufacturing process instructions in performing standard tasks such as component installation, optical alignment, electrical wiring, hand soldering and cable harnessing on sub-assemblies.
  • Install and glue optical assemblies, such as mirrors and lenses, in laser body, using precision instruments.
  • Perform assembly, adjustments and final testing to meet engineering specifications.
  • An attention to detail and an interest in working on state of the art laser systems are essential in this position.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination are required.

Experience and Education

Must have previous Assembly experience
