Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sales of all Sciton products within defined territory/Achieve sales targets

Final Test Technician

In this position you are responsible for producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies. This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager.

This is a non-exempt, long-term temp assignment with the possibility of extension based on company needs and individual performance.

Responsibilities

  • Work together as part of the final test team. Provides and test all sub-assemblies, alignment, build, testing, and complete of medical laser systems.
  • Repair of medical laser systems and subassemblies.
  • The role will participate in all technical execution of new product development, assembly, and testing, including prototype development, qualification and trouble shooting and production.
  • Assist engineering with development of new products and test procedures.
  • Recommend quality and process improvements when required. Provide failure analysis of medical laser systems and subassemblies.
  • Maintain document control.
  • Test and Burn in sub-assemblies and systems to support manufacturing and service requirements.
  • Troubleshoot at board and system level using various testing equipment.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and document controls.
  • Assist in failure analysis
  • Assist in evaluating product for certification and compliance.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of components, equipment and hardware.
  • Follow and Develop test procedures, best practices, processes, and reporting.

Skills needed

  • 5 years in a laser/medical device manufacturing.

Shipping Coordinator

In this essential position, you will ensure that daily orders are shipped in a timely manner to our customers. You will work with our common carrier providers to complete all necessary shipment paperwork for orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing all sourcing/procurement activities for the assigned categories.
  • Develops and implements a sourcing management strategy for these categories assigned.
  • Identifies, develops and manages supplier relationships.
  • Analyzes supplier performance on a yearly basis.
  • Participates in new ERP implementation and maintenance.
  • Requires significantly complex decision-making and significant financial responsibility.

Job Summary

Sciton is seeking an experienced Sr. Manufacturing Manager. This role reports to the Director of Manufacturing and Purchasing.

Requirements:

  • Substantial modern manufacturing experience in the Opto-electronic space.
  • Extensive Manufacturing & Purchasing operations experience.
  • Professional who understands people and analytics. Proven leader of large groups.
  • Operational experience and knowledge of modern ERP’s. Slight preference for Infor.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects that are large in scope, organized, proactive, and good at motivating and managing teams.
  • Attention to detail is critical, as you must maintain an accurate inventory of items produced, as well as ensure compliance with company and industry standards and regulations.
  • Extensive knowledge about laser production—from systems and techniques to safety and compliance standards preferably in an FDA regulated environment.
  • Must be comfortable making crucial decisions in high-pressure situations, choosing the next course of action through critical thinking and holistic analysis.
  • Excellent communication is required as you will work closely with other departments and leaders, sharing information about future production changes and ensuring a cohesive shipping process.

  • Must have experience building frames. This role requires heavy lifting. Must be able to lift and carry heavy parts.
  • Responsible for performing a wide variety of optical, electrical, mechanical, electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations.
  • Follow work instructions and manufacturing process instructions in performing standard tasks such as component installation, optical alignment, electrical wiring, hand soldering and cable harnessing on sub-assemblies.
  • Install and glue optical assemblies, such as mirrors and lenses, in laser body, using precision instruments.
  • Perform assembly, adjustments and final testing to meet engineering specifications.
  • An attention to detail and an interest in working on state of the art laser systems are essential in this position.

Description

Provide service operations support related to manufacturing and distribution of medical laser equipment to domestic and international customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Service Activities

  • Assembly of customer orders and prepares goods for shipment
  • Open calls within Sciton’s ERP system to track movement of parts and field service activity
  • Receipt of parts and closing calls to initiate billing upon completion of field service activities
  • Work with management to resolve issues that may surface during the call closing process
  • Update Material Order Spreadsheet during and after call processing.
  • Review and update customer installed base, as required
  • Feed necessary information to Accounting for invoice generation

Other Tasks

  • Weekly Inventory
  • Assist with scanning and maintaining electronic device history records (eDHRs) and other corporate documentation
  • As assigned by management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field preferred
  • 1-2 years of work experience, preferable within manufacturing operations
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Enterprise solution software familiarity is a plus
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, highly-organized, creative, enthusiastic, and capable of
    staying under control with pressure from multiple ongoing projects
